Scope

IET Science, Measurement & Technology publishes papers in science, engineering and technology underpinning electronic and electrical engineering, nanotechnology and medical instrumentation. Major themes of the journal are listed below, but a more detailed scope listing is also available.

• Electromagnetism including electromagnetic theory, computational electromagnetics and EMC
• Properties and applications of dielectric, magnetic, magneto-optic, piezoelectric materials down to the nanometre scale
• Measurement and instrumentation including sensors, actuators, medical instrumentation, fundamentals of measurement including measurement standards, uncertainty, dissemination and calibration

Previous Title

IET Science, Measurement & Technology was previously published as IEE Proceedings Science, Measurement and Technology. Following the merger on March 31st 2006 between the IEE (Institution of Electrical Engineers) and the IIE (The Institution of Incorporated Engineers) to form the Institution of Engineering and Technology, the IEE Proceedings suite of journals changed name at the beginning of 2007 to reflect the fact that they were now published by the Institution of Engineering and Technology. IET Science, Measurement & Technology starts from Volume 1, Issue 1 from January 2007 onwards. All other benefits of publishing in the journal, including our worldwide readership and database coverage, remain unchanged.
