Sound, Its Uses and Control was published by the Acoustical Society of America during the period 1962 to 1963.
In 1962 the Acoustical Society of America decided to expand the scope of its magazine NOISE Control to provide broader coverage and to serve a wider audience. The title of the magazine was changed to Sound, Its Uses and Control with the first issue published in January 1962.
The magazine covered all aspects of sound and included articles, books reviews, news and new products. The full articles have been posted individually and are searchable; each issue may also be downloaded in its entirety (links to the full PDF may be found on the Table of Contents of each issue).
Two volumes of Sound, Its Uses and Control containing 12 issues were published and the magazine then ceased publication at the end of 1963.
Sound, Its Uses and Control is provided as a bonus publication to ASA members and subscribers to the Journal of the Acoustical Society of America.
