4.Following J. C. Martin, A. W. R. E. Aldermaston, England, (private communication), six solid dielectric switches were employed. The jitter is no more than a few‐tenths nanosecond.
5.The detecting equipment consisted of Optics Technology neutral‐density filters, a TRG 105 B phototube housing with a calibrated ITT phototube having S‐5 response, coaxial transmission line, and a Tektronix 519 oscilloscope. Overall response of the system to a delta function input was about 0.5 nsec at half amplitude.
