FE angle measurements on ordered (diamonds) and “spaghetti like” (stars) array CNT cathodes. The continuous line is a linear fit of ordered array data. Simulation results as a function of the maximum emission angle from CNTs (θCNT) are also reported. Comparison indicates that the maximum emission angle from the tips is about ±30° around the normal direction to the substrate.
