3.We note that in optical experiments, where usually the condition is met (a is the smaller scale of inhomogeneity), the theory predicts that the frequency spectrum of the refractive index inhomogeneities depend on (V. I. Tatarski, op. cit., Chap. 12.) The validity of this theoretical prediction has been confirmed by an experiment on nonequilibrium liquids: M. Iannuzzi, to be published.
