3.This has been done with simpler equations in J. A. Fleck, Jr., Phys. Rev. Letters 21, 131 (1968). However, the narrowness of the noise spectrum used did not permit as realistic a determination of the emission pattern as is described here. In addition, the spontaneous emission model used in the present calculations is in many ways more realistic than the one employed in the cited reference.
