6.A similar experiment has been performed on a hybrid sample of YIG and gold. In this sample no absorption band in the range of volume modes could be detected, which is in agreement with the interpretation given in this paper.

9.Neglecting losses we have equated to zero the resonance denominator of the helicon amplitude given in Chap. 5B of Ref. 7. Then in order to include the influence of losses we have calculated a correction to the wavevector k from the dispersion relation of the infinite medium [Eq. (2.5) of Ref. 7].
