Surface state memory in surface acoustoelectric correlator
1.Long‐lived surface states have been recently used in optical imaging with acoustic waves by O. W. Otto [M.L. Report No. 2175, W. W. Hansen Laboratories of Physics, Stanford University, Stanford, Calif, (unpublished)] and C. F. Quate [1973 Ultrasonics Symposium (unpublished)].
2.The idea of a device which would store a signal and later correlate it with another was suggested recently by E. Stern and R. C. Williamson, [Electron. Lett. 10 (No. 5), 58 (1974)], but the device they proposed would use a different mechanism for writing a charge pattern.
