12.It appears that this conclusion is based on an erroneous calculation of the group‐velocity mismatch. For frequency‐doubling 600 nm light, we find a group‐velocity mismatch of 410 fs/mm. We are unable to reproduce the result (100 fs/mm) quoted in Ref. 2. Our result would imply that the group‐velocity mismatch was actually 8 times the pulse duration.
