7.The film was free from inorganic material which caused a slight roughness of the surface and helped one handle the film in the finishing operation.
8.A small amount of debris, oriented at random, appeared on the PES film at its exposure to a fluence near threshold in KrF laser ablation.
9.When the XeCl laser beam was incident on the sample at 45°, the fluence on the trench bottom was inhomogenized in our optical system. However, the inhomogeneousness of the fluence had no affect on the formation of the periodic image.

11.This sulfur did not combine with oxygen. The binding energy of this sulfur peak was 164 eV (x‐ray source: ): The ratio (So, sulfone) was 2.3 after the irradiation.
