19.Anomalous hysteresis, which depends on starting voltage, was observed in I–V characteristics for both oxides. However, the observed hysteresis was mainly in the range of A, which is comparable to leak currents of the measurement chamber. We also observed time-dependent damping of RBLC. The hysteresis behavior and the time dependency of electric currents will be reported elsewhere. The hysteresis behavior in I–V characteristics of ferroelectric oxides, which showed much larger RBLC has been reported recently in Refs. 13 and 14.

22.The improvement of the surface properties of oxides by surface treatment using reactive oxygen gases has also been reported on YBCO surfaces. Surface cleaning of YBCO single crystals using ozone has been reported in the Ref. 16. Surface cleaning of YBCO films using an atomic oxygen beam has been reported in N. Terada, C. H. Ahn, D. Lew, Y. Suzuki, K. E. Kihlstrom, K. B. Do, S. B. Arnason, T. H. Geballe, R. H. Hammond, and M. R. Beasley, Appl. Phys. Lett. 64, 2581 (1994).
