7.There is also carrier diffusion in quantum-well layers. Similar to the effect of the laser-beam diameter, the carrier diffusion influences the spatial resolution in the μ-PL measurements. Consequently, the PL images should include the laser-beam diameter effect as well as the carrier diffusion effect. (see, for example, Ref. 6). Thus, we have taken into account the carrier diffusion effect by estimating the corrected PL intensity using total intensity of a single disk in the PL images.
