4.Strictly speaking, this is not necessarily the true zero aggregate polarization point of the sample. In practice, the Sawyer–Tower circuit measures the charge flow in the external circuit for a change in voltage across the ferroelectric capacitor. The hysteresis loops measured are actually vs plots. The (0,0) point represents the virgin state.
