14.The gain spectra were measured without polarization selection. Recently published polarization-dependent gain measurements on a similar laser showed that the gain is dominated by the TE-polarization and contains only a marginal TM-contribution due to an unconfined lh-state. Even this marginal TM-contribution is included in the theory.
