Schematic of the structure we study. Gray regions indicate the gates and the thick arrow shows the current flow. The large quantum dot (LQD) provides the ballistic trajectory connected the quantum point contact (QPC) and the small quantum dot (SQD). In our previous studies (Refs. 12 and 13) we used a second QPC instead of SQD.

Corrections to the conductance caused by the interaction of the QPC with the localized electron states (Fano peaks). The actual values of these corrections are determined by the specific geometry of the structure.
