14.An ethanol solution of the lipid mixture with the composition of egg PC/Choleterol/PEG2000DSPE/R18 was dried into a thin film under vacuum. The lipid mixture film was hydrated in distilled DI water. The suspension was subjected to five cycles of freezing and thawing, then sonicated for , and finally extruded five times through a pore-size polycarbonate membrane using a high-pressure extruder (LIPEXT EXTRUDER from Northern Lipids Inc., Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada). Gel filtration through a Sephadex G-25 column was performed to remove the nonentrapped probes. The mean diameter of the extruded liposomes was as determined by photon correlation spectroscopy.
