(a) High-resolution TEM lattice images of ZnSe (a) and wire (c) obtained along the [111] zone axis; (d) shows the XRD pattern of the alloy wires obtained with Cu radiation. The (200) and (400) peaks of zinc blende structure are clearly observed. The peaks at 31.8° and 66.1° are from the GaAs substrate, the peak at 44.2° is indexed to Au (200) and the peak at 36.1° is an artifact of the instrument, (b) High-resolution lattice image of a CdSe nanowire obtained along the [100] zone axis.
