The UPS spectra evolution as a function of Au thickness deposited on to the Cs-doped Alq film: (a) cutoff and (b) the HOMO region. The Fermi level derived from the Au substrate is drawn as a dashed line. It can be seen that the gap state caused by Cs doping disappeared as 1 Å Au is evaporated.
