(Color online) The lower sketch shows the normally used crystal with an exit cut (Cherenkov-cut). A silicon prism coupler is attached to the surface of the rectangular cut crystal in the upper sketch. In both setups a perpendicular emission of terahertz radiation occurs. The same interaction length is used in every measurement.
