The photoluminescence was detected in the direction perpendicular to the exciting laser beam for different angles of rotation . (b) Micro-PL spectra for three different . Whispering gallery modes dominate the spectrum for small values, indicating that the modes emit most efficiently in a direction parallel to the disk surface.
