(Color online) Four different types of asymmetric PHR spectra obtained with different directions of the applied magnetic field. All spectra are taken with the field applied 2.5° away from one of the two hard magnetization axes. Although the loops are slightly different in shape, four distinct remanent states are clearly seen in all PHR hysteretic loops. The dot-dashed arrows indicate field scan directions.
(Color online) (a) Reliability of writing procedures given in Table I tested by repeating the measurement 30 times. The PHR values are measured at zero magnetic field after appropriate sequences of applied magnetic field pulses. The reproducibility of the value obtained by each writing process indicates that the information can be correctly stored in the four distinct PHR states. (b) Dependence of the values of the and states on the writing field in the asymmetric PHR loops. The observed values can be systematically changed between and , demonstrating the tunability of and states by the applied magnetic field.
