(b) Simulations showing the main experimental results such as Si depletion in Al side, the tendency to compound formation in the zone between Al and U–Mo sides, and an unexpected interaction between Mo and Si which avoid the Si diffusion to deeper layers in the UMo solid solution thus improving the stopping power for Al diffusion.
