The mapping ellipsometer at the BESSY II synchrotron facility is equipped with a two-dimensional mapping stage, autocollimation, rotating retarder, and microfocus unit. The rotating retarder was developed in cooperation with Sentech Instruments GmbH, Berlin, Germany. The inset shows the mapping stage with liquid cell as side view.
