Two typical scans are shown for the Bragg peak set, where each peak represents different crystallographic domains, narrowly separated in reciprocal space. By adjusting , , and angles, the contributions of a particular peak can be maximized with respect to the others, as demonstrated for the two plots shown. A peak is selected by using a narrow aperature in front of the detector.

Real space images from both the [010]-oriented (green) and the [112]-oriented (red) domains in PCMO are shown in panels (a) and (b), respectively. The figure emphasizes the complementary nature of the images and demonstrates little domain overlap. The scale bar shown is the same size for both domain images.
