Energy dispersive x-ray diffraction pattern for sample A300 in (a) in-plane geometry and (b) out-of-plane geometry. It may be pointed out that the intensity of the incident radiation decays almost exponentially with energy (Ref. 12) therefore, statistics of the data deteriorates with increasing energy or equivalently scattering vector .
