(a) The phase term that appears in the intercluster coupling is plotted against the cluster radius. Panels (b) and (c) show how the effective moment of each cluster varies with its size. These properties are calculated at 20 nm from the cluster center—the average spacing between neighboring clusters (Ref. 15). The dashed line is the moment obtained by the first-order Born approximation (Ref. 19), which is equivalent to the previous approach (Refs. 8 and 9), and the solid line is our result.
