Transmission vs frequency curves obtained at with a network analyzer at 0.309 K (−99 dBm incoming power) with the MSA ON, i.e., optimally biased to have the largest respectively positive or negative transfer function (upper or lower figure). The voltage across the varactor diode placed at the end of the microstrip is varied. The calibration was performed with the PC board (as illustrated in Fig. 1) replaced by a short transmission line.
