Representative Brillouin spectra at selected temperatures of -PSN crystals. There are two pairs of peaks in each spectrum and an additional Rayleigh peak at zero frequency (elastic and quasielastic scattering). One pair corresponds to the quasi-LA mode, the other pair corresponds to the quasi-TA mode, respectively. A relaxation mode (quasielastic scattering) is clearly observed near the elastic Rayleigh peak.
