Emission spectra of a laterally patterned MC as a function of pump power above lasing threshold . The sharp features of the lower spectrum represent lasing from the principal modes [(1,1) modes] of three different photonic dots labeled A, B, and C. Lasing from higher order modes is clearly resolved at higher excitations (upper spectrum).
