Energy spectra of electrons emitted by the clean and MG covered Ni(111) surface bombarded by 500 eV electrons. Also shown is a spectrum obtained with a graphene layer that showed azimuthal disorder. The spectra have been normalized to the same height.
The fine structure resulting after the subtraction of the background as shown in the inset for impact energies of 500 eV (filled circles) and 700 eV (open circles). The spectra have been arbitrarily displaced for clarity. Inset: Energy spectrum of electrons emitted by MG/Ni(111) by 700 eV electron impact. Also shown is the polynomial function representing the background of cascade electrons.
Energy spectra of electrons emitted by the MG covered Ni(111) surface bombarded by 2–4 keV ions. The spectra have been normalized to the same height.
