Abstract

We report on a resonant waveguidegratingimager for high throughput screening using live cells. This imager can generate a snapshot image of all biosensors in a 384-well microtiter plate with a time resolution of and a spatial resolution of . This imager is well tolerant to variability in plate configurations and cell confluency. The resonant wavelength and its shifts induced by cell responses at each pixel correlate well with cell confluency. Data filtration protocol can be used to improve assay quality for partially confluent cells.
