(Color online) Schematic view of the designed biosensing device. The dimensions of the designed element (or resonator) are s = 0.2 mm, w =0.2 mm, g = 0.1 mm, lx = ly = 1.8 mm, respectively. In the case of the high impedance microstrip line, the width and length of a narrow line having a high-impedance characteristic (∼80 Ω) are 0.2 mm and 3.0 mm, respectively. Also, the line is tapered from 0.78 mm to 0.2 mm.
