Abstract

A new MOF-5 homologue compound has been obtained under solvothermal conditions from a mixture of Zn(NO)⋅6HO and commercially available linker, 2-methylfumaric acid, in ,-dimethylformamide. The moderate surface area and suitable pore sizes enable the activated to separate methane from C hydrocarbons at room temperature.
