AIP Publishing congratulates Isamu Akasaki, Hiroshi Amano, and Shuji Nakamura on their receipt of the 2014 Nobel Prize in Physics

AIP Publishing congratulates this year’s Nobel Prize 2014 winners in Chemistry Eric Betzig, Stefan W. Hell, William E. Moerner

Biomicrofluidics is an online-only journal from AIP Publishing designed to rapidly disseminate research that elucidates fundamental physicochemical mechanisms associated with microfluidic, nanofluidic, and molecular/cellular biophysical phenomena in addition to novel microfluidic and nanofluidic techniques for diagnostic, medical, biological, pharmaceutical, environmental, and chemical applications. Rapid turnaround, multimedia capability, and wide circulation among academic, national, and industrial laboratories are the main features offered by the journal. With a primary focus on high-quality original research articles, the journal also organizes special sections that will help elucidate and define specific challenges unique to the interdisciplinary field of biomicrofluidics.

Editor's Picks

  • A high-throughput cellulase screening system based on droplet microfluidics
  • Magnetographic array for the capture and enumeration of single cells and cell pairs
  • Probing transient protein-mediated DNA linkages using nanoconfinement
  • Paper-based colorimetric enzyme linked immunosorbent assay fabricated by laser induced forward transfer
  • High-efficiency rare cell identification on a high-density self-assembled cell arrangement chip
