The normal segments (shaded area) of width and thickness are coated above the striated superconducting stripes of width (white areas) with the periodicity in length . The tape width is . The length should be in real structures probably larger than in this sketch. In the paper, the value of is considered. The stripes are divided by insulating layer of width (thick lines). Due to symmetry reasons, the induced voltage is zero in the middle of the normal segments. This simple structure can be replaced by more sophisticated distribution of normal segments (Ref. 31), but it gives the essential features of the model.
