Two cases, (a) and (b), of identical MDM ferrite disks with different distributions of membrane functions and edge functions . For these cases, membrane wave functions are mutually shifted in phase by 180°. The types of functions are conventionally represented as combinations of two different color-texture spots on a disk surface. The double-valued wave functions, and , are conventionally shown by arrows. The graphs, below the pictures of ferrite disks, show the azimuth phase relations between functions and chosen so that a maximum (minimum) of function corresponds to zero of function . There are also shown orientations of vectors , , and .
