Scanning electron micrograph of the Ni80Fe20 arrays of ellipses of dimensions 1 μm × 0.4 μm: Sample B1, ellipses aligned along long axis, (b) Sample B2, ellipses aligned along short axis, and Sample B3, well separated ellipses. The hysteresis loops respective to each sample are measured by MOKE which setup with a laser spot size of about 50 μm in a longitudinal geometry. The magnetic field is applied parallel to the short axis of the ellipse.
