Behavior of the DSC lines of ∼0.2 mm particles of unsaturated LaFeSiH. Particles started with a narrow DSC line (continuous line). After a year at Tc of 23 °C, the DSC broadened and split (dotted line) to a line width (arrows). Annealing at 36 °C recovered the narrow DSC peak in 19 days (dashed line).

Particles of LaFeSiH with a split DSC line, which were then ground into smaller pieces and held above the Curie point, did not recover the unsplit line, in contrast to the unground particles of Figure 1 .
