10.Lam et al.5 have modeled the nonlinear response using the Ginzburg–Landau equations. However for high- superconductors where the penetration depth is large compared to the correlation length , a local BCS description should be sufficient. An important point, at lower reduced temperatures, is to include the nature of the gap.
