Normalized remanent hysteresis loops in the range between and 0 Oe for the 8 nm FePt nanoparticles annealed by RTA in forming gas. The “low-temperature unsintered” sample was annealed at 500 °C for 30 min, and TEM showed that the particles were unsintered (Ref. 15); the “overcoated” sample was overcoated with MgO and annealed at 1100 °C for 1 h; the “sintered” sample was annealed at 690 °C for 1 h.
