A portion of the observed and calculated high resolution molecular beam spectra in the region, corresponding to the low- -branch features of the (0,0) band of CoF. Weaker features at the low wave number end are due to transitions but are not indicated for clarity. The predicted spectrum was generated using the parameters of Table I and a rotational temperature of . The relative intensities were more accurately reproduced by raising the transition moment to a power of 1.2 instead of 2; this is necessary because saturation effects reduce the observed intensities of the strong lines.
