Optically selected mass spectra of the two isomers of hydrogen-cyanoacetylene, HCCCN–HCN (top), and HCN–HCCCN (bottom) at a mean droplet size of He atoms/droplet. The spectra were collected by pumping the bonded C–H stretch of the selected isomer. The ions that appear every 4 amu result from migrating charges that fail to transfer to the dopant complex.
