Comparison with the ZEKE spectrum and total (isotropic) metastable yield spectra of N2 and CO. Total metastable yield spectra were calculated by the summation of one 0° spectrum and two folds of the 90° spectrum.

Angle-resolved metastable yield spectra of N2 and CO, at 0° (Σ-symmetry) and 90° (Π-symmetry) with respect to the polarization of SR radiation, together with their photoelectron spectra at excitation energies of 1487 eV and 480 eV in N2 and 400 eV in CO. The broken lines show the peaks in the photoelectron spectrum. The photoelectron spectrum at 1487 eV was obtained from the data.17
