FIG. 1.

(a) Fe K-edge x-ray absorption spectra of Fe1.01Se at P = 0.5, 6.9, and 52 GPa. (b) Fe emission spectra of Fe1.01Se for P = 0.5, 6.9, and 52 GPa with reference emission spectra of FeS (high spin) and FeS2 (low spin).

FIG. 2.

Fe K-edge x-ray absorption spectra of Fe1.01Se at P = (a) 0.5, (b) 6.9, and (c) 52 GPa. Ticks in the Fe K-edge absorption spectra correspond to the excitation energies at which the 1s3p-resonant x-ray emission spectra were recorded. 1s3p-resonant x-ray emission spectra of polycrystalline FeSe measured at P = (d) 0.5, (e) 6.9, and (f) 52 GPa as a function of transfer energy. The resonant x-ray emission spectra are plotted from bottom to top with increasing energy of incident photons. The numbers indicated in the emission spectra correspond to the excitation energy marked in the Fe K-edge x-ray absorption spectrum. Each emission spectrum is normalized according to its maximum value.

FIG. 3.

Curves to fit Fe 1s3p-RXES spectra of Fe1.01Se at P = 0.5 GPa at incident photon energies (E in ) (a) 7110.5 and (b) 7140 eV; open circles denote the experimental data.

FIG. 4.

Dependence on incident photon energy of the intensity of the fluorescent components F1 (Fe 1,3) and F4 (Fe ) and the Raman component R1 of Fe 1s3p-RXES spectra of Fe1.01Se at P = (a) 0.5, (b) 6.9, and (c) 52 GPa.
