Conventional definitions of these parameters are given in Ref. 1 in terms of L, a characteristic length; τ, a characteristic time; U, a characteristic velocity; H, a characteristic magnetic intensity and the fluid properties. Re is Reynolds number, Rm the magnetic Reynolds number, M the Hartmann number.
