4.This resistance is due to a scattering of the plasma oscillation by the ion density fluctuations. The wavelength of the plasma oscillation has been considered infinite so the treatment is not strictly correct but the answers are probably close to the true ones. This resistance is large because all longitudinal oscillations have nearly the same frequencies.
