The nonlinear relation between the intensity of a propagating electromagnetic wave and the response electrostatic field for a plasma comprising ions, electrons, and a fraction of electron-positron pairs. Curves are presented for various concentrations of the electron-positron fraction. The dependence defined by Eq. (22) is shown as the solid line, and the dashed line marks the plasma electrostatic field limit expressed in Eq. (24) . It is clear that plasma response saturation occurs at the level of multiple relativistic intensities in all the cases depicted, the concentrations of the pairs being low against those of the ion-electron background.

The frequency shift exhibited by an electromagnetic wave propagating into a plasma comprising ions, electrons, and a fraction of electron-positron pairs. Curves are presented for various concentrations of the electron-positron fraction. The dependence defined by Eq. (18) is shown as the solid line, the shift for the response saturation plateau as given by Eq. (26) is designated by the dashed line, and the dotted line corresponds to the frequency shift in a plasma of ions and electrons. The frequency shifts in the cases with and without a fraction of the electron-positron pairs diverge markedly even at low concentrations of the pairs.
