A schematic of the external parts of the CXRS/BES diagnostic at Alcator C-Mod. A multichannel optical splitter transmits the BES part of the spectrum and reflects the CXRS part. Two spectrometers and two CCD cameras are set up to resolve the CXRS and BES spectra from all 40 channels.
