A 2D, anti—plane crack in infinite linear magneto—electro—elastic medium subjected to an external mechanical load is considered. A mathematical model, which consists of a system of partial differential equations and boundary conditions is constructed. The Radon’s transform is applied to find the fundamental solution. Asymptotic formulae are obtained for the displacement and stress. This problem is further reduced to a non—hypersingular traction boundary integral
equation. The boundary integral
equation method (BIEM) is used for the numerical solution. Numerical results for extended crack opening displacements (COD) for different materials are given.
