We show that besides noncommuting Lindblad operators, a Hamiltonian together with a noncommuting Lindblad operator produces a noisy operation that could totally destroy the entanglement of a Bell state in a finite time& mdash;entanglement sudden death (ESD). Furthermore, we show that these could result in states that become useless for special dense coding and standard teleportation before ESD occurs. We discuss the implications of our results and point out a possible solution to the potential problems.
